Durham Cathedral. Miners Memorial. This is a postcard that was sent to Vera Robinson (nee Humphrey) in 1995. Part of the message from her friend reads: "The woodwork is mainly C17 Spanish, but the cherubs and the foliage are English Jacobean. It is difficult to see the top line of figures clearly, but they are all carrying objects used in mining. It is quite a big memorial, about six feet high".
