The Wardley lads undergoing Training would have been at Dame Margaret's Hall across the road from the Glebe Pit in Washington. They may not all be "Wardley" lads because the NCB took lads on for all the local pits. It wouldn’t surprise me if only a few of those were for Wardley. (Norman Dunn)
