Wardley Bridge crossing the Leamside line to Quality Terrace. It was also known as the 'police bridge' among the older Wardley people from the time the village policeman lived at No. 1 Quality Terrace until c1922. Allotments are in front of the houses and the colliery and pit heap behind Wardley Bridge was removed in the 1980s. The pigeon loft probably belonged to Jos Bainbridge.
