The Colliery Post Office was run by Elizabeth Brown and her daughter Jenny at Woodbine House from 1911. Elizabeth married Jack Teasdale and Jennie married John Wraith. When it moved to West Crescent in 1939 it was known as "Wraith's and Teasdale's". The paper girl is Jenny Gage  with John  and Jenny Wraith in 1926. The building was formally "The Colliery Inn"
