An old Wardley miner, Tom Cave, takes a rest on the seat outside the allotments on Sunderland Road. He and his wife Margaret lived at 49 Third Street in 1909 when their daughter Margaret was born. They later moved to 26 Second Street when another daughter, Christina arrived in March 1917.
