The May Day Procession
assembling at the White Mare Pool. George Amos and his son John
of South Wardley Farm have some of the children dressed in white on their
float. Behind them on the right is the White Mare Pool public house and
built on to it ten white cottages. The fence of Sunderland Road is in the
background with Sally Young's ice cream & sweet shop on the top
