Where I will discuss books that I have borrowed or own and have for sale. An honest critique of what I think is good, bad and downright trash. All the books discussed I will have read thoroughly and nearly all are non-fiction, and many are reference works. Look out for bargains too as I have a huge collection and need to ship some out.

My web main site is now
GATESHEAD TIMES (now newcastlegateshead.org) though I will maintain these pages until the domain is sold? Did I say that? Yes. Well that was the plan, but the income from Google is so lucrative, that I have decided to retain this domain and website.

So what is this site about? Pictures and more, but mostly  photographs (deliberately converted to low grade) of Wardley & district taken between 1987 and 2010. I am also adding contributed photographs if they are suitable. I wasn't going to add any vintage images but as I am still being handed old photographs for this site I have decided to add them as time allows. (newly contributed only for now) Each image will have a brief caption without too much detail as this is not a historical treatise (I will also be adding short movies and slideshows) as the history of the area can be found elsewhere. I will add stories that were contributed to the old site if they are suitable.
This site is best viewed with a monitor setting of 1280x1024.
